CCEN Medical Cannabis Summit set for May 10

A medical cannabis summit is being organized in Ontario by the Clinical Cannabinoid Education Network (CCEN), a non-profit “educational and networking platform for the medical community who are interested in learning more about the science of cannabis and its place in clinical practice.”

 

The event, set for May 10, is geared toward healthcare practitioners.

 

The informative one-day conference will include presentations on how to integrate medical cannabis into your clinical practice, supporting patients when having the “medical cannabis” conversation, and matching strains and terpenes to desired therapeutic benefits. The event will also include a presentation on understanding the role of genetic testing with strain selection and dosing requirements.

There are a variety of other talks planned throughout the day, including a discussion on the role of cannabis is mitigating the opioid crisis and cannabinoid therapy in the elderly.

 

The event is set to run from 8:30 to 5 p.m. on May 10 at the Pearson Convention Centre (2638 Steeles Ave E., Brampton, ON).
