“If we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children’s future. And we are all mortal.
[Commencement Address at American University, June 10 1963]”

“The world’s 7.6 billion people represent just 0.01% of all living things, according to the study. Yet since the dawn of civilization, humanity has caused the loss of 83% of all wild mammals and half of plants, while livestock kept by humans abounds.”

Humanity on steroids-Greedy, Mindless Consuming

The above statement in the Guardian Newspaper is food for thought. Our planet is dying and everyone of us is collectively responsible. What we think, consume, wear and the life style we lead all contribute to damaging Gaia the living being that gives us life. Gone are the great herds of bison, elk, antelope and deer that once roamed the plains – gone are the earth based tribes of the natural man who lived in harmony with nature. In just five hundred years, the nations that call themselves civilized have polluted the pristine wilderness of North America and turned it into a scrap heap of oil leaks and poisoned water. The diseased and greedy mind set that runs the show calls the poisoning of Earth: progress. And the indigenous guardians of the land as simple minded, superstitious savages who need to be assimilated into our inhumane and anti life culture.

It would appear that ‘the progress plan’ has worked. Just look around at the ‘shop to you drop’ consumers that throng every store. The locust lunacy of Black Fridays, Thanksgiving – the turkey day that represents the genocide of 200 million Native Americans, bullshit Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. Consume and obey is the name of the game. Most couldn’t give a damn about the planet and its creatures – mindless morons who like to take selfies with endangered creatures that die of shock from being tossed around and handled.

Dumb-ass

Most of us are so dumbed down and into ourselves that we are not aware of the damage we are doing to our environment. Most don’t even think before they toss cigarette butts, candy bar wrappers, and beer cans out of the car window as they are drive through the countryside – or spray poisons on their lawns because they can’t bear to see a daisy or a dandelion. One only has to look at all the toxic to life chemicals that are on sale in the shops – and all the service to self individuals who use them to destroy every little creature that dares to come onto their property.
We are conditioned to think of the earth as a dead machine put there for our entitlement…an infinite resource…something to be used, modified and hurt. When in truth the only thing that is dead in the head…. is humanity.

Toxic time bombs

In practically all the movies I watch on Netflix cell phones are discarded by the heroes and heroines of our bullshit entertainment. These toxic little time bomb devices are being thrown into our seas, rivers and countryside…or being smashed under heel in a fit of human ‘hormonal emotion’ and left in the road. The circuit boards in cell phones contain myriad toxins such as arsenic, antimony, beryllium, cadmium, copper, lead, nickel, and zinc. Brominated flame retardants are found in the plastic housing, printed wiring board, and cables and millions of these cancer producing devices are tossed into the environment every year…

In the past I have bought cell phones for Indian people who live out in the ‘sticks’. Families with no transport – and no way to get help when needed. All the phones that I have bought for them have either been lost, broken or thrown away into the environment for whatever reason. I began to feel like an environmental criminal so I don’t buy cell phones anymore…I don’t even own one. Convenience it may be but who needs microwave pulses in the skull?

But the hive mind of the status quo with its monkey see – monkey do mentality thinks its okay to throw toxins into our environment. And, all the time the media is telling us how to be smarter, increase our productivity and income at the expense of the planet. Our countries are being drilled, mined and polluted by greedy corporations who have no time for Life. In the last ten years we have lost: the clouded leopard of Madagascar, the Pinta tortoise, the Liverpool spotted green pigeon, the Pipistrelle(tiny bat), the Japanese river otter, three different species of hippopotamus, the American eastern cougar,West African black rhinoceros, and the extinction of a 20-million-year-old species of Chinese river dolphin in 2006…..and many more species will follow. But we don’t want to hear the bad news do we?

So we distract ourselves with facebook, twitter, instagram, sex, pornography, booze, drugs, prescription pills and man made religions…all opiates of the people. We are a species on steroids and anyone who has a modicum of intelligence can see the writing on the wall. See my article: www.heartstarbooks.com/the-writing-on-the-wall/

Over the cliff

“But man is a part of nature, and his war against nature is inevitably a war against himself.”
― Rachel Carson

Rachel Carson tried to alert us seventy years ago in her book The Silent Spring. …did we listen? No we did not. With our untested 5G technology…gmo foods, mono crops and our continued onslaught on our finite home, we’d better wake up before we join the list of extinct species.

Maybe the film the Matrix is showing us a truth… showing us the future…when a fake digital reality masks a dead world…more food for thought.

I hope you got an understanding out of the article.
