New Rooftop Wind Energy Invention Is Up To 16X More Efficient Than Solar Panels

A new rooftop wind harvesting device is capable of generating 50 percent more electricity than solar panels for the same cost, according to its inventors, a Texas-based startup called Aeromine Technologies.

The new technology replaced the blades found in traditional wind turbines with an aerodynamic system that harvests energy from the airflow that’s created above a building, which makes it silent and safe for birds and other wildlife.

These units produce the same amount of power as up to 16 solar panels. As their company website states:

Aeromine’s patented aerodynamic design captures and amplifies building airflow in wind speeds as low as 5 m.p.h., similar to the airfoils on a race car. Unlike turbines that require rotating rotor blades and many moving parts, making them prone to maintenance issues, the motionless and durable Aeromine solution generates more energy in less space.

According to Aeromine CEO David Asarnow, a veteran of the climate technology industry,

“This is a game-changer adding new value to the fast-growing rooftop power generation market, helping corporations meet their resilience and sustainability goals with an untapped distributed renewable energy source. Aeromine’s proprietary technology brings the performance of wind energy to the onsite generation market, mitigating legacy constraints posed by spinning wind turbines and less efficient solar panels.”

The Aeromine system can utilize a small footprint on a building’s roof, leaving ample space for existing solar and utility infrastructure.  It provides commercial property owners, who are facing increased energy costs and rising demand for features such as electric vehicle charging stations, with an effective new tool in their drive toward energy independence.

Everyday new clean and “green” technologies seem to emerge, and there’s no doubt that many of them will be implemented. Just last month we reported on an emerging technology that literally generates electricity out of thin air. These types of technologies tend to be better than wind or solar as they don’t rely on the elements.

One of the electrical engineers, Jun Yao, from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, stated that they are “literally making electricity out of thin air.”  They are calling it the “Air-gen” and it generates clean energy 24/7, thanks to the electrically conductive protein nanowires produced by Geobacter. Our Favourite Examples

Some of our favorite technologies are ones that truly go beyond the limitations of more primitive technologies like wind and solar.

Sangulani (Maxwell) Chikumbutso, an inventor from Zimbabwe, invented an electric system that runs off a battery that charges itself with electromagnetic radiation that’s present naturally in the environment. It can run forever.

According to Maxwell’s claims, the energy to power the battery is taken from electromagnetic waves that exist all around us and are, again, naturally present in our environment. Multiple vehicles and power generators have been developed via his work.

When this story broke, a number of “fact-checkers” simply labelled it as false without any investigation or journalism being done on their part, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. You can read and learn more about his story and specific examples of technology he has developed, here.

Is Humanity Ready?

This is a tough question to ask as why should some suggest humans are not ready for something? Who could say such a thing? Well, this is an important question to consider when looking at these energy technologies and putting them in the context of our current society. Technologies like Chikumbutso’s and Tewari’s leave no aspect of humanity and our society untouched. Our way of life, minds, values and beliefs would adjust as we acknowledge what these devices are doing and can do. our entire economic system would deeply need to change.

Are we open to having mysterious questions perhaps answered? Are we willing to change the way we live and relate to one another? Are we willing to forgo the limitations our current societal systems and infrastructures have thrust upon us?

Looking Deeper: 

We made a short documentary a couple of years ago year called Regenerate: Beyond The CO2 Narrative. After 10 years of researching and investigating climate change, we came to many conclusions that we felt needed to be shared, yet were extremely rare in public discourse.

One of the most important aspects of Regenerate is that we are looking at our environment from such a limited point of view that we can’t identify the real issues we face, and that our level of thinking, or consciousness, is completely disconnected from the solutions required to truly shift our relationship with earth.

Thus, we are creating solutions that don’t truly address making the environment cleaner or better long term, and simply address the wants and desires of the political elite. Unfortunately like many other topics, climate change and environmental issues and science has become completely politicized.
